Covid-19

We want to reassure our patients and families that we are following all government advice and continuously reviewing our screening and hygiene practices to keep you as safe as possible while in our practice.

Since 23rd March 2020, our practice has changed some appointment types to videoconferencing (Zoom, Facetime, Skype) or telephone attendance to ensure essential ongoing care for your medical condition.

For those consultations that require face-to-face, we ask you not to arrive early for your appointments and to bring no more than one support person to assist us with maintaining the health and safety of all our patients and staff. If you come well ahead of your appointment time or the clinic is running a little behind, we may ask that you go to another are for a short time. This is to reduce the numbers in our waiting areas.

Screening will take place at the front entrance of the building. We ask you to advise us if you:

  • have fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or a cough
  • have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
  • if you have a relative or support person attending your appointment (limited to one per person) who may meet the above criteria.
  • Have visited a Covid-19 hotspot within the last 14 days

Other safety measures include:

  • Temperature testing of all staff before they commence work
  • Hand sanitiser use before entering practice for staff and patients
  • masks are available in reception if someone presents unexpectedly with non-fever symptoms
  • steps have been taken to minimise the number of patients in the waiting room at any one time
  • 5m distancing at reception and for seating arrangements in waiting room
  • there has been increased cleaning of all surfaces in waiting room, reception, consulting rooms, administration areas and staff areas
  • magazines, newspapers, tea and coffee facilities have been removed from the waiting room

We encourage the community to remain vigilant to the spread and re-emergence of COVID-19.
Please stay at home if you have any cold and flu symptoms and seek testing with your GP or Albury Wodonga Health. If you are returning to work, school or social activities, please adhere to any Government guidelines, maintain social distancing and wash your hands regularly.
A reminder for any members of the public who DO have symptoms – however mild – to seek testing with their GP or with Albury Wodonga Health on (02) 6058 4444.
